CROSSBREDS IN DEMAND
LONDON WOOL SALES MORE WITHDRAWALS (Reed. .July 20, 12 noon) LONDON. July 19. At (the wool sales to-day, 9276 bales were offered, including 4191 from New Zealand, and 7515 bales were sold. A moderate selection met a further active demand, especially for crossbreds and best merinos, which were sold chiefly to the home trade at steady rates. Withdrawals were more frequent among slipes owing to the low bids - . The following prices represent the lowest and 'highest obtained for Now Zealand clips: Greasy crossbred, Severn, lid, lljd; stipe halfbred lambs, Maknrewa, 141 d, 143 d.
