BUREAU SYSTEM
WATERFRONT LABOUR APPROVAL IN AUCKLAND (Pit Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Continuance of the waterfront labour bureau system at Auckland mas approved at a- secret ballot of numbers of the Auckland Waterside Workers’ Union, the- result of which .vas announced yesterday. The bureau system, which has been in operation at Auckland since September, 1937, was favoured at the ballot by an overwhelming majority. A similar ballot, which was held at Wellington lasi week, approved of the continuance of the bureau system there.
