Unregistered Dogs

Sir, —Al a meeting of the Cool County Council some of ihe member; seemed to be very worried about unregistered dogs, Cr. C. Tictjen making the wild and ridiculous statement “that at a recent dog show not one of the dogs was registered." i assume that the show in question was one recently held by tho Poverty Bay 'Kennel Club. Only pedigree dogs were shown at this show and the owners of pedigree dogs register, feed and care for their animals, which do not have to travel out to Manutuke for a feed. It seems that because Cr. Tictjen did not see the borough collars on the dogs he assumes that they arc not registered. I venture to state that, it least 90 per cent of the dogs shown were registered. The Cook County Council will have to look nearer home 'or its worriers. E. GOODWIN, lion. Secretary P.B. Kennel Club.
