NORTH CORNWALL SEAT (Reed. July 15. 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 14. The North Cornwall by-election, as a result of the death of Sir Francis Acland, resulted as follows: T. L. Horabin (Lib.) .. .. 17,072 E. R. Whitehouse (Con.) .. 15.608 At the last general elections Sir Francis Acland had a majority of 836 votes over his Conservative opponent.
