KNOCK-OUT VICTORY
POSTER USES LEFT KITT'S PLUCKY SHOWING END IN EIGHTH ROUND (Per Preset Association.) PALMERSTON IN., this day. Though Arnold Kitt, of Hastings, made a plucky showing, he proved no match -for the Canadian, Johnny Poster, who knocked him out with a left to the solar plexus early in the eighth round of a welterweight boxing contest at the 'Palmerston North Opera House last evening. They met at even weights, 'but it was early made apparent that Foster’s left hand would grove the deciding factor. Kitt was anxious to make a fight of it, but he knew full well that the moment he lifted his right hand 'he would uncover Foster’s pet target
and he soon realised that it would prove equally fatal to leave his head unguarded. It proved too 'big a handicap, for Foster bided his time, and in the seventh round be drew the defence and landed a left hook to the .body. The punch hurt and Kitt did not really recover.
