WAIKOHU GOLF
FRIENDLY MATCH
TOE AG A BAY VISITORS Last week-end representatives of the Tolaga Bay Golf Club visited the Waikohu links to play a friendly match with members of the Waikohu club. The visitors, who were entertained af luncheon and afternoon tea by the home team, were welcomed by the club captain, Mr. J. L. Clarkson. Mr. V. F. Hurlstone, speaking for the Tolaga Bay players, expressed their pleasure at being able to make the trip. Results were as follows, Tolaga Bay players being mentioned first in each instance: — Ladies,—Singles:—Miss B. Weeks and Mrs. R. Hutchinson, all square; Mrs. G. Wilson lost to Miss- C. Guthrie-Smith; Mrs. E. L. Reid defeated Miss L. Ruru; Miss M. Hicks and Mrs. J. V. Clark, all square: Mrs. G. Glover defeated Mrs. G. Bush: Miss J. Thornton and Mi’s. C. Gaukrodger, all square; Miss D. Methven defeated Miss G. Parkinson; Mrs. E. Olsen defeated Mrs. G. Gregory.

The second round of the men’s club handicap will be played next Saturday on the Waikohu Golf Club’s links, the draw being:—J. J. Clarkson v. R. Fisher; E. Bradley v. L. Spence; W. Luttrell v. E. Ruru; K. Sidney v A. Seebeck; R. H. Brown v. winner of Clarkson-Fisher match. Match with Turanganui
On July 16 a match with the Turanganui club will be played on th Waikohu links, commncing at 10 a.m.

PARK CLUB LADIES
PROGRESS OF MATCH PS A Vase Test round was played by members of the Park Ladies’ Golf Club last week-end, the winners in the B section bainig Miss Reid, 102 — 36—66, with Miss E. Jelinek, 109— 36 —73, second. In the C section Miss G McKenzie was the winner, with Mrs. Alley second. Mrs. Alley won the McMurray Star -and will play Miss Higgs during the week-end. In the J.K. Stars Misses McGhee and Kay, who defeated the holders last week-end, will be challenged by Miss M. Haisman and Mrs. Wells. The competition for next week-end will be a medal round for both B and C sections, the draw being as follows?- —Miss Bird and Miss Gould; Miss Roddick and Miss Lane; Miss Kopps and Miss Wells; Miss Gilman and Miss Hollis; Miss M.
