Making her second start the 15ton Consolidated flying boat, patrol bomber ordered by the British Air Ministry, took cfl at 8.23 a.m. from San Diego for Botwood, Newfoundland. on the first stage of her Atlantic flight to Felixstowe. The machine was reported over Kansas City at 10.30 p.m., but it was forced down on Buffalo Harbour. Head winds had exhausted the fuel. The journey is. being resumed shortly.
