In the last few clays three schooners, carrying a total of more than 1800 illegal immigrants, have been detained' in Palestine territorial waters In each case the unfortunate refugees have been travelling for more than three months, and have been transferred! from steamers to worthless, unseaw.orthy schooners outside territorial waters, with the object of avoiding the confiscation of .valuable ships.’ One .schooner was so waterlogged that she had to be beached at Gaza immediately her passengers were landed.
