NORTHERN PRODUCE RATES

CAULIFLOWERS DEARER The 'fairly heavy frosts experienced in the last two mornings rendered unmarketable large numbers of cauliflowers that were ready for cutting at Pukekohe. As a result supplies of cauliflower arc likely to be short this week, and the price hardened from Gs a chapman bag and 8 S 8d a sack to 8s 3d a chapman bag and 12s a sack. The supply of cabbages .is keeping pace so far with the demand, but there is now a very firm tone in this line of produce at 12s a sack. Pukekohe-grown onions, of which there are about 350 tons still available, have fallen in price from 21s Gd a ewt. to 20s Gd in the past week, sales having continued slow.

Pumpkins remain at lGs Gd a ewt.. carrots and parsnips at Gs a sugarbag, and swede turnips at 4s .for st'lb„ and 5s tv sugar-bag.
