COASTAL TRADE The Wainui left Lytteitc.i on Saturday and is to .be dispatched from Wellington 10-dav for Gisborne. The steamer is due here to-morrow afternoon and on completion of discharge either to-morrow night or Wednesday is to sail for Napier, thence Wellington and South island ports. The Poolta has been fixed to load at Westport about July 13 and is to lift coal for New Plymouth. Napic' and Gisborne. The Pakura leaves Wellington- at noon to-day for Napier and Gisborne. The vessel is due here about. Wednesday or Thursday and on completion will sail for Lyttelton. The Kopara loads cement at Portland to-day and at Auckland ‘tomorrow for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier. The ship arrives here on Thursday.
The Margaret W. discharged Gisborne cargo at Auckland this morning and if the weather conditions were favourable this afternoon she was to he beached to change her propeller. The dock at Auckland was not available for the work, which had to be completed this afternoon so that the ship could load general cargo tomorrow for Tolaga Bay. Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne. The Margaret W. mould arrive at Gisborne on Thursday.

Tongariro (Federal Line), from Wellington, loads meat and general cargo for London and West Coast ports of Britain at Tokomaru Bay August 13-15; leaves Auckland August 22, for London, via Panama. STURDY LAUNCH A passenger and towing launch of unusually sturdy construction is being built at Auckland for the Union Steam Ship Company, Limiter!, for harbour and coastal work at Suva. The contract for this vessel has been placed with Messrs. Collings and Beil, who have now made a .start on her. The new boat will have a length of 38ft, and a beam of 10 ft flin, and her draught will be 3ft Sin. To meet the strain ol the work she will be called upon to do, the launch is to be of unusual construction.
