REP. RUGBY MATCHES

SUB-UNION FIXTURES F.B. TEAM NAMED While the first representative Rugby team is engaged in its short North Island tour, two games against sub-union fifteens will be played by a Poverty Bay B representative team, a strong combination which would prove a tough nut even for the first representatives to beat. The first game will be played against, the Waikohu sub-union at either Te Karaka or Whatatutu and the second fixture will be a match witii Motu in Motu.

The team to play Waikohu has been selected as follows: —Backs. B. Malone (Celtic), A. Read (Old Boys), W. Smilcr (Marist), Jack Short (H. 5.0.8.), P. Haisman (Old Boys), M Smilcr (Marist). D. lieeney (Marist), captain. Forwards. —T. McGufiie (H. 5.0.8.), R. Rigney (Marist), J. Baker (Celtic), W. Tibbie (Marist), J. Anderson (Marist), W. Holmes (H. 5.0.8.), C. McGrannachan (Marist), S. O’Connor (Celtic). Emergencies. —Forwards, M Doyle (Marist), A. Barly (Celtic). C. Hayes (Old Boys), P. Livingstone (Oid Buys); backs, T. Moughan (Marist) and R. Swann (Oid Boys). For the game against Motu, the same players have been selected, with the emergencies for the first match to take part in the second game. All players selected have been asked to keep in training for these games.
