OBITUARY
MR. PETER MILLER. The death occurred suddenly on Tuesday afternoon, as he was going home from work, of Mr. Peter Miller, a well known builder, who was in charge of the erection of Westport’s new Town Hall. Mr. Miller was a native of Stronsay, Orkney Islands, and was 59 years of age. He had resided in the Dominion for 39 years, and had carried out numerous building conuacts, chiefly in Taumarunui and Hamilton. He is survived by his wife and two brothers, one residing in Auckland and the other in Geraldine.
Mrs. Florence Walker, who resided for a number of years with her niece, Mrs. Frank Twig-g, Havelock North, has died. She was the daughter of the late Mr. William Rickford Collett, M.P., F.R.G.S., of “Lockers,” _ Hempstead, Hertfordshire, and a sister of Mr. S. J. Collett, assistant-manager of the Government Tourist Department, Wellington, and Mrs. W. A. Russell, - Gisborne. Mrs. Walker was the widow of Mr. William Walker, Government Stock Exchange, Dublin, who was a brother to Dr. Sam Walker, who received the New Zealand Cross in the Maori War.
