SURPLUS REVENUE
AUSTRALIAN ITNANf 'ES (Reed. July 8. 12.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, July 8. The Commonwealth finances for the year ended on June i\ showed a surplus of receipts over expenditure of 0027.000. The revenue amounted to £93,250,000 and the expenditure £92,029,000. The defence expenditure was £1.000,000 in excess of the Budget estimate, but there were- savings in other departments.
