Most Loyal?
Sir, —Last time Mr. Nash went overseas he went to Moscow; this time he goes to Eire. And it appears we can learn more from his statements there than we can learn from our Ministers here. We know that our Government is opposed to conscription and even to compulsory training, but what we did not know is that if England becomes involved in war it is unlikely that New Zealand will equip and send overseas as an expeditionary force al) those volunteers who wish to do what they can. But New Zealand and Eire have this in common; they are not likely to assist in that way. All we want from England is cash and £33,000,000 if she pleases. ' Is it any wonder when a member —a Labour member —asked in the House of Commons: “Is not most loyal New Zealand worthy of better treatment from the Government?” there was no reply? X.Y.Z.
