POVERTY BAY CENTRE TIIK ANNUAL REPORT Another successful year is reviewed by the chairman, Mr. P. Sim, in the report .to be .presented at the sixth annual meeting of the Povei ty Bay Centre of the Piping and Dancing Association to-night. During the year, ithe report states, the association was able to have representation at every -major sports fixture in the district, at two main shows, the A. and P. Association’s Show and the Winter Show, and also at 'the Competitions. The registrations showed an increase on last year, there being 38 juvenile .competitors, and the membership of the association also showed a considerable '(increase. The various cups held by the association were .competed for during' the year and won by the following: McCulloch Cup: Miss T. Menzies. R.iverhead Gold Cup: Miss Annette Shields, fitoneham Cup: Miss' A. Shields. McLennan Memorial Cup: Miss Sheila Munro. Te Karaka Sports Club Cup: Miss. Mary King. Mr. Stoneham Was thanked for his l donation of a silver cup for competition at the Winter Show in the 11 to 14-year section, and 'Mr. J. M.ichie 'or' the medals donated for the under 11 and tihe 11 to 14-year sections.

Tiie .prize-money donated! to tliu association was practically the same as previously, and- the finances showed a slight increase on last year,
