The veal supply was short and values rose sharply in consequence, prime quality selling very well. Runners made from £3 to £G 12s Gd; heavy vealers, £4 8s to £5 6s; medium, £3 10s to £4; light, £2 10s to £3 10s; smaller, £1 15s to £2 lGs; small, lGs to £2; bofeby and rough, 2s to £1 10s. Baconers averaged GJd per lb., and porkers Gid to 7.',d per lb. A heavy entry of sheep sold at fully late rates, ewes showing a marked upward trend. Extra heavy prime wethers made 28s to 30s; heavy, 21s to 22s Gd: medium, 18s to 20s 9d; light, 14s to 17s 9d; unfinished, 11s to 14s Gel: extra heavy prime ewes, 22s to 24s Gd; heavy. 21s to 22s Gd; medium, 18s to 20s 9d; light, 14s to 17s 9d ; unfinished. 5s to 13s Gd. Lambs, in less than average numbers, made late rates, prime making 17s to 25s Gd, and others Gs to 10s 3d.
