WRESTLER FROM AFRICA
BEATEN BY BLO-MFIELD
EACH .MAX TAKES A FA LI
(For Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The referee was kept busy when "Lofty” Blomfield, the New Zealand champion wrestler, beat the South African champion, Frank Foster, on points in a bout in which each man took a fall last evening.
Foster brought .some novel gambits from the Zulus and tlie high veldt. He set the pace throughout the bout and took an early .fall by mulekicking Blomfield to the mat and pinning the New Zealander in the second round. In the sixth round, however, he fell an easy victim to Blomfield's octopus clamp.
Infringements were constant throughout a rough, vigorous contest and at times it became reminiscent of the prize ring. Foster made good use of eiDOw-jolts and rabbitpunches. Blomfield took a tiemendous amount of punishment in good part. ■
