FEARS OF “ROBBER”
VERSION BY GOEBBELS ‘ ‘HARMLESS PEDESTRIAN" ’ (Reed. July 3, 9 a.m.) "BERLIN, July 1. The newspaper Voelkischer Beobachter, controlled .by the Nazi Minister of Propaganda, Dr. Goebbols, says: “We are in the unenviable position of a 1 harmless pedestrian in the midst of a daric wood, robbed of all our belongings, being invited to friendly conversations with the robber. One does not attach too great a value to manners in such a situation.
“The British seek a way to speak to the German people. The only way is via the Fuehrer. We are not imDressed by the British threats.
“London should not complain of the rudeness of our language, but the crudeness of its attitude. She should not indulge in vague excuses,, empty threats and silly blulf, but act."
