BRITISH MILITIA

INFANTRY NOT POPULAR LONDON. June 23. Conscription is not proving the bugbear which opponents predicted, as militiamen are showing complete willingness to be absorbed. Men are being posted to units as far as possible in accord with their own wishes. Stories of the Great War have net made the infantry popular. The majority prefer the tank corps or artillery.
