Auckland Harbour was reached at 2.25 this afternoon bv the Eliza, The whole journey occupied 30 hours 35 minutes, tin. average running rate being approximately 8 knots. The Scabird rounded tho mark at Russell 48 minutes after tinEliza. Captain MeLeod, of the Northern Steamship Company's Clansman, who navigated tho Eliza, .said at (nit; time he felt like stopping and running for shelter. He considered th.' boat a wonder to get through on th,' return journey.
