The Board's account was overdrawn. JBS26 7s Id, -against wh'ch the General Government owel £235 43 61, and Charitable Aids Board £125; total, £360 4s 6d. The accounts, amounting to £224 13s 9d were passed for payment. Tho Visiting Committee reported that during the month of December 71 patients had been treated; that tht re had been 17 patients admitted, 19 discharged, and 1 died, leavhig 52! patients in the institution at the end of the month. Eesolved on the motion of tho Chairman that a vote of thanks be accorded to the secretaries of the Prohibition Party and the Licensed Victuallers, the Eev. Mr Trestrail and Mr Smith for their donations to the funds,, Eesolved on motion of Mr Petrie, thai the sum received (JE4I) Prohibition lecture be placed along with subsidy to separate account to form the nucleus of a building fund. Messrs Smith, M'Carthv and Petrie were appointed visiting committee for the month. The following wore the successful tenderers for supplies for the ensuing year: —groceries and wines and spirits, Griff en and 6m tb; milk, Mr Batty; meat, Mr Clough; bread, Messrs Johnston and Costigan; funerals, Mr Heron; coal tote divided between the three companies*
