Pallas jumped away with the lead and was never caught, winning somewhat easily by two lengths. Time, 2 8} ; 'diva., £6 10s 6d and £1 3s. The stewards enquired into Pallas's running on Thursday, and considered the explanation satisfactory. Poneke Hack Handicap Catherine Gordon 1, Shackle 2, Narcotic 3. Scratchod —Lolah and Hatley, Won easily by tvo lengths. Tirm 1 29 2-5; divs. £6 2s end £3 6'. A protest was lodged against the first and second horses for inconsistency, but it was dismissed. Wellesley Stakes-Treadmill 1, Zing Log 2, Regiment 3. Only starters. Won after a good finish by a nose. Time 49-5 sees ; div £4 10s. Zealandia Plate—Advance 1, Cannie Chiel 2. Won easily by two lengths. Time 2 8 ; div £1 2s. Metropolitan Handicap Hohoro 1, Ayrdale 2, Somerled 8. Petrovna was scratched. Won by a length. Time, 2 25 35; divs £ll9a and £1 5s 6d.
