(To the Editor.) Sib, —I notice in this morning’s Argus a signed J. Perret Millington, Blackball, complaining of having to watt two hours at the crossing of the Blackball ferry, also that his wild shrieks were not heard. Now, Mr Editor, allow mo to contradict those statements. I can positively say the Doctor did not wait two hours, or even one ball-hour, for immediately I heard bis call I left my residence for the bye-wash, about half a mile distant, and found the Doctor had fled. I may also state that very shortly after the Doctor left the river-bed I brought over a passenger, who passed the Doctor on his way to Blackball. I am, etc.,— Hugo Lundquist, Blackball-Ngahore Ferry.
