WELLINGTON CUP, Advance 1 Hinetaura 2 Cannie Chiel 0 All started. Motor and Dundas were in front for the best part of a mile, but on nearing the straight Advance who had been racing in the rear went to the frontand won by two lengths without an effort. Cannie Chiel three lengths away. The winner received an ovation. The time was 234 1-5, which constitutes a record for the colony. Divs £2 9s and £2 7s. Electric Handicap—Petrovna 1, Turepo 2, Hohoro 3. Scratched—Ostiak, Wostguard and Red Gauntlet. A good race. Won by a quarter of a length. Time 1 1; divs, £6 8s Od and £3 lls.
