Kumlea, This Day. The Premier has received the following communication from the secretary of the Clear Hills Progress Farmers and Settlers Association Oaklands Corowa New South Wale?, dated January 3rd, The letter begins “I am instructed on behalf of the above Association and also of the farmers and settlers of Eiverina to convey to you their hearty thanks for your kind and generous action in offering to supply seed and fodder to this state for the benefit of the farmers and settlers who have suffered so severely through the long drought, and to assure you they fully appreciate the kindly motives that prompted you to make the offer, and to express tile regret that the Premier of tbls Sffite has ( not accepted theoffif in the spirit in which it was made.-—(signed) A, Teothowan, Secretary,
