M’Beth took 1 wicket for 16, Noble 3 for 38, Howell 4 for 40, Clarke 1 for 3. ' N. S. Wales won by 42 runs.
The weather was fine and the wicket excellent, The collapse was not expected and is inexplicable. Trumble was the only one in any form. The Australian team for the second test cricket match is the s ime as in the first test match, except tbat Duff and Armstrong replace Laver and M’Leod,
