The Pianola, just introduced to Greymouth by the Dresden Piano Coy, aroused interest yesterday afternoon and evening. Some of our local musicians were greatly astonished at the perfect rendering of such works as Liszt's rhapsodies, Mendelssohn's and Chopin's works and others of equal difficulty, the technique, perfect light and shade, and the absolute perfection attained being beyond all expectation. Those who have not had the opportunity to learn, or are too busy to spare the time necessary to become good performers, the Pianola will prove a boon; the selection of music is kept right up to date, and includes sacred, secular, dance, operatic and classical music, accompaniments to songs, and various instrumental solos, etc, so that an unlimited repertoire is at command. Mr Bobertshaw, the Coy's represensative will be in attendance at Messrs Easson and Coy's warehouso to-night, and we recommend a visit to prove that what is claimed for the instrument is a solid fact, vouched for by such artists as Paderewski, Emile Sauer, Herr Benno Scherek, and others.
