The Otago applications to date for enrolment in the Bight Contingent total 820. Dunedin alone contributing 550. As only 200 men have been allotted to Otago many abstain from miking appli cation regarding their chances as hoplelesa. Their is no doubt Otago could raise the whole contingent it asked to do so.
