0. Graham was charged with using indecent language to a railway official; also with getting on a train while in motion. Fined 10s on the first charge and 5s on the other, with costs in each ease.

CIVIL CASKS. T. O’Donnell v. P. Grey, Claim for £lO 2s on promissory note. Judgment by default with costs. T. Owen v. A. Schnltze. Claim for £4 for goods supplied. Mr Guinness for plaintiff and|Mr Hannan for defendant. The evidence for the plaintiff in this case was that defendant ordered an enamelling oven for his shop, the price agreed upon being £4. For the defence the evidence was that undue delay had taken place, and that after giving notice to plaintiff that defendant had made an oven himself, and then declined, owing to delay, to take delivery of the one made by Owens. The Magistrate held that defendant .was .liable, and gave a verdict for amount claimed with costs.

Petrie -and • Go. v. Wallace. Claim "for £2 for goods supplied. Mr Hannan for defendant. Adjourned, Smith V. Smith. Claim! for 11s for goods supplied. Judgment by default with costs.

’ 'Kaipai Gold Dredging Company v. J. lutz. Claim for calls due. Mr Guinness for plaintiff and Mr Hannan for defendant. Mr Hannan sta’ed that he did not intend to defend at this end, but at Wellington. The Court accordingly adjourned the case to Web lington, but allowed £1 Is costs to plaintiff company.
