AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.

The Australasian Championship meeting was concluded to-day under most favorable circumstances. The track was dry and fast and there was little wind to interfere with competitors. The heat was tempered by a clouded sky. New Zealand easily retained tbe Championship the points at the conclusion being New Zealand, 8; Victoria and New Sffuth Wales three each, Queensland one. The following are the results : 100 yds championship, first heat— Hunter (Vic.), 1 ; Henderson (N.S.W.) 2 ; Webster (N.Z.) 3. Won by half a yard. Time 10 l-sth see. Second heat Moir (Vie) 1 ; Smith (N.Z.) 2; Gardiner (Vic) 3, Won by two yards. Time 10 1-5 sec. Final—Moir (Vie.) 1 ; Smith and Hunter a dead heat for second place. Gardiner also ran. Won by 2yds. Time, 10 see.

High jump championship—Laurie (N.Z.) sft sin 1 ; Harper (N.Z.) 6ft 4in, 2. These were the only competitors. Half mile championship—Wentworth (Q), 1; Harper (N Z), 2; Sutton (Vie), 3. Scratched—Cuff, Endioott, Saundereou, M’Kean, and Anderson. Won by 4yda. Time, Imin 59secs. This equals the Australasian record,
