The Australasian Championship meeting was concluded to-day under most favorable circumstances. The track was dry and fast and there was little wind to interfere with competitors. The heat was tempered by a clouded sky. New Zealand easily retained tbe Championship the points at the conclusion being New Zealand, 8; Victoria and New Sffuth Wales three each, Queensland one. The following are the results : 100 yds championship, first heat— Hunter (Vic.), 1 ; Henderson (N.S.W.) 2 ; Webster (N.Z.) 3. Won by half a yard. Time 10 l-sth see. Second heat Moir (Vie) 1 ; Smith (N.Z.) 2; Gardiner (Vic) 3, Won by two yards. Time 10 1-5 sec. Final—Moir (Vie.) 1 ; Smith and Hunter a dead heat for second place. Gardiner also ran. Won by 2yds. Time, 10 see.
High jump championship—Laurie (N.Z.) sft sin 1 ; Harper (N.Z.) 6ft 4in, 2. These were the only competitors. Half mile championship—Wentworth (Q), 1; Harper (N Z), 2; Sutton (Vie), 3. Scratched—Cuff, Endioott, Saundereou, M’Kean, and Anderson. Won by 4yda. Time, Imin 59secs. This equals the Australasian record,
220 yards (final)—Mior (Yic), 1; Henderson (N.S.W.) 2; Keating (N. Z.) 3, G. Smith also started, Won by 3yds, Time, 23 1 sseca.
Milo bicycle handicap—Alexander, 20yda, 1; Thomas, 80yds, 2; Ouckly scr, 3 Won by half, a length. Time 2 min 2 3 ggeog Mile walk—D. Wilson (N.Z.), 1, Barrett (Vic), 2 ; Dickey (N.Z.), 3. Won by 12 yards. Throwing the hammer—O’Eeilley who had a walk over, threw 129tt 6|in. Pole jump—Laurie had a walk over and jumped 10ft. 100 yards handicap, first heat—Endioott, 1; Campbell, 2. Time, 10 3-6 secs. Second heat—Martin, 1; Marriott, 2. Time 10 2 ssecs. Third heat—Heald, 1, Chevia 2, Time 10 2 ssecs. Final heat—Heald, 2yds, 1, Chevis, Byds, 2, Marriott, 2£yds, and Martin 4yds, dead heat for third. Won by 6 inches. Time, 10 l-osecs. Three miles bicycle handicap—Brook, 70yds, 1. Spragg, 50yds, 2. Thomas, 160 yds, 3. Time, 7min 88secs. 440 yards hurdles—G. W. Smith (N.Z.) 1, L. M. McPherson (Yic) 2, A. I. Henderson (N.Z.) 3. Won by 10 yards,; Time 59seci,
