SPECIAL STAR TELEGRAMS.
(Special to “Stab.")
Dunedin, This Day. The death is reported from the Bluff of John Squires, a well-known Southland figure. Deceased was engaged for some time in commercial pursits and in-1889 took up a run in JtVmdon. Mr Squires was possessed of much wealth, probably running into considerably more than six figures. Miss Nellie Montague, the leading member of the Hawtrey Comedy Company, whose season here closed on Saturday, is seriously indisposed.
