The recommendations of the Conciliation Board in tha two seamen’s disputes are identical.

Wages per month for seaman are fixed at £7, fireman £9, greasers £9, donkey men £lO, lamp trimmers and A. B’s. £B, first-class ordinary seamen £5, secondclass ordinary seamen £4, trimmers working six hours watches £B, greasers working six hour watches £l3, fireman working similar hours £lO. When the stoke hold and engine room is manned by three firemen only one shall sign as fireman. Donkeymen’s wages are fixed at £lO. In the foregoing cases the donkeyman shall be paid schedule rates for all overtime worked beyond eight hours. Overti ne clause provides that in the deck de. partment able seaman, boatswains and lamp trimmers shall be paid overtime at tha rate of Is fid per hour.

Boating cargo in bays and roadsteads in May, June, July and August Is 9d per hour.

Boating cargo in January, February, March, April, September, October, November and December Is fid.

Ordinary seamen, overtime 1/- per hour. Boating cargo in May, June, July and August Is fid, other months Is 3d.

All overtime in the stoke hold is to be paid for at Is fid per hour. There is a detailed decision on other points.
