KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL.
A TUJ plenaing little entertainment wa» held last night In the Trinity Church Sunday School by Miss Hickson’s Kindergarten pupils. Considering the children’s ages, which tanged from 8 to 6 years old, everything was remarkably well rendered. The first item was “A Merry Xmas to All,” which was formed by letters held by the children, Then next came a selection given by Miss Maisie McMeekin. This was very creditably done, considering the little girl was suffering from a severe cold. Chorus—- “ Fish Alive Oh 1” was sung by all the pupils with great gasto. Then Master Jack Nickolson sung in character “Little Jack Horner," which was deservedly encored, his voice being rich and every word distinctly enunciated. His self possession and bow to the audience on leaving the stage was remarkable for so young a child. Then came “Where are J ou going to, my pretty maid,” sung by Has G, Thomas and Master M. Smith, These two . children were dressed in character, this, and their singing and actions fairly brought down
the house, and responding to an encore were both loudly applauded. The Rev York was unavoidably absent, but the previous afternoon gave out the prizes to the children, and in a short speech informed th* parents that Miss Hickson would continue the school next year when he hoped sh* would be liberally supported.
