Attempted Suicide. Wellington, Dec 16. Jolm Juncker, butcher, attempted suicide this morning at Ngahauranga by gashing hims-lf in the left breast with a knife. The injury is not serious. Run over by a Milk cart. The fourteen year old son of G. B. Clark of Pahiatua while riding a bicycle was run over by a milk van at Pahiatua and died from injuries. The Kotuku Mishap. The Nautical Court gave judgment today regarding the mish*p to the ss. Kotuku at Walter Rock, Jacksons Head. It hold that the striking was one to a

concurrence of circumstances which the ma ter could not control, and therefore the certificates of master and officers were returned. At the Magistrate’s court to-day Leonard Nation, arrested in Christchurch, pleaded guilty of the theft of a camera and was remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence.
