Meiboubne, Dec 14. The Austral Wheel Race resulted— Martin 1, Middleton 2, Walker 3. 30.000 attended the Austral Wheel EaceMarlin started favorite at 6 to 4 on. One man backed him for 416000 and other backers total to £BOOO. The ring was badly hit. Beauchamp was disqualified for twelve months for alleged running in the interests cf the other competitors. The stewards recommend the League to disqualify him for life. Prom a good start Lewis looked like making a runaway race for it. Beauchamp paced Martin up and then retired. Entering the lap Middleton tfas leading
at this point; Martin, however, passed him half a lap from home and won a fin e race by three lengths. Time* 429 3-sfchs.
