The Nicaraguan Canal. Washington, Dec 14, Hepburn’s Bill to provide funds for the construction of the Nicaragua Canal was favorably reported on by the committee of the House. Taranaki Iron Deposits. London, Dec 14. Hon Mr Cadman, and Mr E. M. Smith have arranged to form a company with a capital of half a million to developo the New Zealand iron sand deposits. Wireless Telegraphy. Beuter’s Agency reports that Marcord is experimenting at St John’s, New Brunswick, with a Trans-Atlantic wireless telegraph. He states that ho has exchanged signals with L’zard Point, Cornwall.
