(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Dec 13. The enquiry inco the stranding of the Kotuku on Walker Rock while passing through Jackson’s passage was continued to-day. Captain Nordstrum said that he bad been going through the passage for years and had found it a very tight fit, though he thought a nine knot vessel should be aple to contend with the tide. Captain Manning of the Botomahana said he also had used the passage many times in other steamers. Vessels which could steam nine knots should get through safely. He did not think that Captain Kennedy could be blamed. This opinion was also concerted in by Captain Smith, Supt. of the Mercantile Marine,, who also gave evidence as to the erratic nature of the tides during November. Sydney, Dec 13. The German warship Moewe, from New Guinea, and the Zealandia from Wellington have arrived.
