OTAGO GOLD DREDGING.
(Special to "Stab.")
Dunedin, This Day.
Some time ago Shepherds Creek Company, after making a spasmodic effort to earn a living, threw up the sponge. The mortgages to the number of four took up the claim, and have since,. after paying all expenses, paid 4400 in diva.
At the end of November, eighty company dredges were at work, including the West Coast fleet. The total of gold won was 6180 oz?, valued approximately at £24,000.
Thh is palpably one of the lowest yields for years. There are fully forty dredges laid up at present.
