Brisbane, Dec 11. The Government have arranged, subject to the approval of Parliament to purchase the late Jas. Tyson's Mount Bu3Sell estates of 45,000 acres, at 44s per acre, for settlement purposes, Tho Government are also negotiating to purchase the Durandus estate of 30,000 acres. King's Coronation. Sydney, Dec 10. In the Assembly in reply to questions as to whether he had seen the cable inviting Barton as the representative of the Commonwealth, and Seddon tho representative of New Zealand, to attend the King's Coronation, and if the Premiers of the various Australian States had been invited, Mr See said that all he could say was that he received no invitation and was not anxious about it. New Governor of Victoria. Melbourne, Dec 10. The new Governor, Sir George Sydenham Clarko, and Lady Clarke arrived by the Victoria, and were escorted up the Bay by the torpedo boats, which met and welcomed the Government steamer. The parliamentary party aboard landed at St Kilda, and subsequently an imposing military procession escorted them to the building, where he was sworn in, in the presence of a large and brilliant gathering. The route was gaily decorated, and great crowds assembled.
