NORTH BEACH DREDGE.

(To the Editor).

Sir,—Mr Fasche avoids replying to my contention that gold is being lost, accuses me of casting a slur upon him, and desires me to disclose my identity. As he has not replied to my statement, it must be accepted that he admits its truth. I had no desire to cast any slur upon Mr Fasche, nor can any such interpretation be taken out of my former letter. As to my identity, as it in no way affects the issue as to whether gold is, or is not, being lost, it is imaterial to the question and I again sign, with apologies to Mr Fasche for seeming discourtesy, myself A Beachcomber.
