NOT AN AMERICAN.
A great many people think Professor Raymond is an American; but it is a mistake, lie is an Englishman, inertly with some American ways, and aßritisher to the backbone. But Professor Raymond is even more than an Englishman or an American —he is a cosmopolite, or citizen cf the world. In other words, he is free from all local, provincia', or national prejudices or attachments, and lis "'at home" all over the universe ; in I short, the world is his school-house, not ' New Zealand or Australia! Professor Raymond's reputation as a botanic physician and educationalist is world vide, and he loves all races, who, like himself, are willing to learn something. A glimpse of his character and valuable services to humanity in Australia {many years may be seen in the advertising columns of this paper. Perhaps it is not well known in this district that Professor Raymond has done more abroad to advertise this country than any man diat ever existed. The Editor of tins paper, could gh r e you something in cold type, if lie wanted to, that would change your complexion from the paleness of apathy to the healthy, vigorous glow of animated life! The Professor may shortly lecture in Greymoutli,—Apvr.
