The Postmaster-General thinks that Sprecklcs will continue the 'Frisco service despite the published statement to the contrary. The Government have no power to vary the conditions sanctioned by Parliament.

The Bluff tug returned from! rices boat harbour this morning, bringing the injured man Phillips, who fell over the cliff to the rock? on the beach on the 27th ult. His mate Tresider canie 1 him to a hut a mile away and loft him t't.rc with some meal, which was all tho food they had and water.
The moal was dona when Trevor re turned from Orepuki on Tuck hi v night. Phillips is suffering from intoni il injury and has been admitted to the hospital here. Had he been alone li3 in Ist have perished.
