Fouehe has reported to 'ho Btitish that, two of the Gonnaught rangers who were reported to have been captured by hia men and shot, were fairly shot in action. Broderick reprimanded the Command-, r of the Regiment for circulating unsubstantiated reports. Miss Hobhouse, in a long letter to the Press complains of h r arrest and deportation. Lord Hobhouse asserts that the action was illegal, and he will immediately test the quesiion.
The Morning Post states that fifty Dutchmen joined the Boers via Delago* on the Cape since July. - /
