Duhief, a reporter of the French Foreign Office, referring to the AngloFrench diplomatic difficulties, complained of E igland forgetting her solemn promises to evacuate Egypt, and condemned the fierce and inhuman pursuit of gain in South Africa, where they were trampling on human rights, and offending all sentiments of justice and humanity. He also alluded to the brusquerie and selfishness over Fashoda. France is, more than ever, opposed to the rise of finding England, in her path of colonial development. Count Yon Bulow on Tariff. Count Von Bulow, in the Reichstag, said that the tariff was a fair compromise between the necessities of the agricultural, manufacturing and commercial interests, and would be a useful weapon in negotiating commercial treaties.
