NOXIOUS WEEDS.
(To the Editor.) SxB t —l feel very thankful to the members of the County Council for the information I received from their report, ■which was published in your issue of the 29th ult. in regard to the noxious weeds. I was very sorry to hear that they were not going to clear them away themselves. Bat are going to enforce the Act. So much the better perhaps. The place I mentioned in my solicitation to the County Council is two sections away from my own property and on the public road. If the Council had got them cut down when they were repairing the roads the place would not have been in such a bad state. Do they expect me to clear them from the front of the people’s property. If they had been in front of my own property I would not have sent in the requisition to the Council. Know I should not have got it done. I had to employ a man for two days and pay him out of my own pocket to clear the front
