BYRANI'S DRAMATIC COMPANY

This talented company made their first appearance last night before a good and appreciative audience. "Charley's Aunt" is a comedy that most of our readers may have possibly seen before, but we venture to remark that they have never before seen it produced so crisply as last night. From commencement to finish the audience were convulsed with laughter, while those who took the trouble to analyse the performance, could not help being struck with the merit displayed by the various performers. Without individualising the acting of those who took part, it may be said that from commencement to end the performance was an exceeding meritorious one. This company does not depend on one or two good actors and actresses to carry them through. They are a good all round company, not a dummy in the lot and, as a consequenpe, the audience was delighted throughout the entire performance. It was good, capable, and certainly humorous acting throughout and not, as we sometimes see, a bright passage here and there with half-an-hour of dullness and lack of interest. Taken as a whole the company is undoubtly the best all round one that we hare had here for many years past.

To-night in the sensational drama of •'King's Evidence" we anticipate seeing something very much above the average, and advise those desirous of getting good seats to act end early,
