CURE FOR CONSUMPTION.
A Marvellous American Invention
A new and marvellous remedy for tubcrculosisis is reported by the “Da.ly Mail’s ” correspondent to have been discovered by Dr Wilfred J. Pralick, “one of the most eminent phvsicans in New York.”
Dr Fraliek, who has been experimenting for seven years, does not profess to make a man whole. What he does claim is to remove every trace of bacteria from his system. “My treatment must succeed,” is reported to be his deliberate affirmation, “.or the whole germ theory must prove false. My experiments have reached such a stage that it is no longer a question of tuberculosis, but whether the patient has enough lung tissue left to carry on the functions of the body when freed from the germs. In that alone, depends his lease of life,”
Tho treatment consists in injecting into the viens at the bend of the elbows a colourless liquid, (at a temperature of from 101 to HOdeg,, in quantities of from 10 to 20 fluid ounces), which contain compounds “which destroy all know disease germs almost instantly, and will intensity and increase the desirable properties of the blood,” At the completion of the treatment (several infusions may be necessary) the patient is as weak as a typhoid patient and in need of everything that will keep the elements of nutrition at the maximum during convalescence.
