AHAURA SACRED CONCERT.

Notwithstanding tho most inclement nature of tho weather, a very fair audience attended the sacred concert.

Tho concert was opened with the anthem " I will sing of Thy power"; othor anthems v. ere, " Arise, Shine for thy Light has come"; " I am Alpha and Omega''; "Vital Spark of Heavenly Flame,'' and "Hear the voice and Prayer.' The sacred solos were a feature of the concert, Mr P. Currie being especially good in his rendering of " Eternal Best." Miss Currie's sing of tho " Soul's Awakening " evoked much admiration. The other solos were : " The last Muster " by Mr 11. Currie; "1 ho Children's Home " - by Miss C. Kennedy ; "The Lost Chord " by Mr Tregonning "Angels ever btight and Fair " by Miss J. Kennedy; " Only tired'' by Miss L. Girth—a particularly good item—and " Consider tho Lilies " by Mr do Berry. Miss Hargrcavos fulfilled her part as wganist, to porfeciion, and brought out the powers of tho new organ. Mr Tregonning is deserving of all praise for the musical treat he gave the district ' —ho sjared neither time nor effort to make tho concert tho success it undoubt edly was,
