A dozen more Boer leaders have been banished, including Landrost Zoutspamberg. A blue book shows mothers refuse to obey the doctors and nurses and admiois;er a remedy for measles. They refused to wash the children though they were black as Kaffirs through dirt. They painted the bodies except the faces. Whore green paint was used arsenical poisoning ensued. They insist on administering Dutch quack remedies con taining opium and feed the children on sardines instead of milk. They use horse dung poultices refusing proper ones. The-woman abstain from entering the maternity hospital believing they would be starved there. They prefer tho services of untrained mid wives.
The occupants of camps are extremely callous of each others sufferings,
