Rain Making.
Mr Wragge’s “rain-making” experiments in Queensland came to a sudden close a few days ago. A telegram sent to the Melbourne on tbc 24th ult, says : “Mr Clement Wraggo was giving a demonstration at Rockhampton yesterday with his Stigcr vortex gun, which was imported for the purpose of producing rain, when, at the eight shot, the gun broke near the base. The sheets of iron forming the gun were forced apart, and the rivets scattered in all directions, Two persons were struck by the rivets, but not seriously hurt.
